James Mismash is a senior majoring in government and history in the Liberal Arts Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Focused on budget and policy work, James has contributed to legislative research throughout the Texas government, from the Speaker's Office to the Legislative Budget Board and, most recently, the Office of the Governor. Mismash also takes a leadership role in executing the Reagan National Defense Forum, where he has found his own passion for defense policy by working with national security experts. James currently interns for defense scholar Mackenzie Eaglen at the American Enterprise Institute. He is most interested in maximizing the effectiveness of defense spending and working to retain American's position as a formidable force for democracy across the globe.

Joseph Flores is a Master's in Global Policy Studies candidate at the LBJ School of Public Affairs where he focuses on migration, governance, and development. Joseph is a former Franklin H. Williams Fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations, and currently co-leads the Data4Development team at the Innovations for Peace and Development Lab at UT. His interests focus on governance responses to migration flows, particularly in Latin America, as well as issues of foreign policy, racial justice, and domestics politics. Joseph is a San Antonio native and his go-to breakfast tacos are migas, carne guisada, and barbacoa (with plenty of salsa verde).

Nicholas Romanow is a fourth-year international relations major at the University of Texas at Austin and an Undergraduate Fellow at the Clements Center for National Security. His academic interests are in American foreign policy, China studies, democracy, human rights, and alliances. He was previously a Foreign and Defense Policy Intern at the American Enterprise Institute and has published writing with The Bulwark, the Texas Tribune, and the Dallas Morning News. He is currently conducting his honors thesis project on NATO's potential response to the emergence of China as a global power. Originally born in Canada, he naturalized as an American citizen earlier this year and hopes to commission as a U.S. Naval Officer upon graduation.
